Just be friends for a while longer (maybe til' college like you said), see how it works out. If everything goes smoothly and you want to be more than friends, go ahead!! It doesn't matter if it's a shock to anyone, if you like him who cares?? Just follow your heart. If you don't know what it is saying, nobody will. This part is up to you. Ask yourself: do i REALLY like him. make a mental list of what you look for in a guy. If he has most then most probably he is the guy for you.
